This includes reading the minds of others and imprinting words in their minds as well. However, such power has been watered down and weakened to an extreme degree. Room Number: 586 ID: 24586 stalker What? You need more? Geez... what personality? Neku, for the lack of a better word, is more or less completely apathetic. He is incredibly anti-social, to the point where he wished he was the last person on earth and it seems that every one he encounters annoys him. He also finds it very hard to trust people, so it's hard for him to "open up" to them. Or, even speak to them. He does speak, however, but only when he feels comfortable enough to do so, which some might find annoying about him. He ignores people constantly and it appears as if he's forever listening to his music due to the fact that his headphones are always on. He can be rather bossy at times, too, feeling that he is the only one that can do things efficiently since he "relies" on himself only. take notes Neku appears to be your average, every day Shibuya teenage boy. All though he does not tend to follow the fashion trends and could really care less about them, his outfit seems to say otherwise. He's incredibly thin but quite athletic, either by force or choice, even he's not sure. He always wears his headphones on his head, no where else, which, as stated before, gives everyone the impression that he is constantly listening to his music. This also caused him to have the unwanted nickname "Phones" with a few people. His shorts seem to be baggy and, according to Shiki, he tends to have lose seams and buttons going unnoticed. Which is more than likely because he could really care less about his appearance. He also always has his cell phone on him, which is a lovely shade of blue. history is for the books All though Neku woke up in Shibuya without a single memory, save for his name, he slowly begins to piece together his past and how he ended up in the "Under Ground" as he plays the "Reaper's Game". Neku entered the "Reaper's Game" by paying a fee which, unfortunately, was his memory. He comes to find that he, and a friend, were shot to death and that was how he was brought to the game. The game, as he was informed later on, was chance to live a second or life. Or, rather, be brought back to life. As he played the game, he gained a close relationship with Shiki, his partner, and they both ended up defeating the game together. However, the partner with the higher points, who happened to be Shiki, could be the only one to be revived. So, Neku is left back at the beginning, where he must replay the game but with a new partner. Because Shiki was the most important thing to him (which made her his fee), and because she had the highest score, she did not return with him. During his second week in the game, his memories come back to him and he comes to find his partner, Joshua, had been the one to shoot Neku and his friend.
